Behind the scenes of our innovative products, you’ll find a passionate tech community delivering everything from technology used by inspectors and engineers in the field to machinery for our recycling solutions, and digital tools that support our head office teams in their day-to-day work.
We have expanded into a larger network with offices in Helsinki (Finland) and Lysaker (Oslo, Norway), and operations in Sweden, Denmark, Poland, and the UK. This position will be based in Lysaker, with flexibility for working from home.
Are you our new AI Lead?
AI is one of the most important strategic opportunities for NG Nordic in the years ahead. We are now looking for an AI Lead who can help us turn that opportunity into real, measurable productivity growth across the organization.
This is a newly created role with a broad mandate. You will help build the AI area in our organisation, in a role that is all about understanding where AI can create real value in a large, operational business. You will help make AI useful, safe and scalable for people across the organization.
NG Nordic works extensively within the Microsoft ecosystem, so strong understanding of tools and platforms such as Copilot and Azure will be highly relevant. At the same time, we are looking for someone who follows the broader AI landscape and can assess different models, platforms and use cases with technical depth and practical judgement.
Your key responsibilites:
- Develop and drive NG Nordic’s AI strategy in close collaboration with technology, business and group leadership.
- Identify, prioritize and implement AI use cases that create productivity growth across the organization.
- Build internal AI competence through training, guidance and practical enablement for both technical and non-technical users.
- Establish safe, responsible and cost-conscious ways of using AI in a large enterprise environment.
- Work closely with stakeholders across the business to understand user needs and translate them into practical AI initiatives.
- Over time, help build and shape a dedicated AI capability or team within NG Nordic.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for someone with strong technical understanding, commercial curiosity and the communication skills needed to make AI relevant for a wide range of users. You may come from a technical background, a product environment, consulting, data, machine learning, enterprise technology or another setting where you have worked hands on with AI, automation or advanced digital tools.
We are also looking for someone who takes responsibility for staying updated. The AI field changes quickly, and this role requires a person who follows new technologies, tools, models and use cases on their own initiative. You should enjoy learning, testing and evaluating what is relevant, and be able to separate real value from hype.
To succeed and thrive in this role, you should have:
- Strong understanding of AI, LLMs, machine learning concepts and modern AI platforms.'
- Experience with Microsoft’s technology ecosystem, preferably including Copilot and Azure.
- Ability to translate complex technology into practical business value.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to train, guide and influence different user groups.
- A strong learning mindset and the ability to stay updated on emerging AI technologies, platforms and practical use cases.
- Professional English skills. A Scandinavian language is an advantage, but not a requirement.
