Behind the scenes of our innovative products, you’ll find a passionate tech community delivering everything from technology used by inspectors and engineers in the field to machinery for our recycling solutions, and digital tools that support our head office teams in their day-to-day work.

We have expanded into a larger network with offices in Helsinki (Finland) and Lysaker (Oslo, Norway), and operations in Sweden, Denmark, Poland, and the UK. This position will be based in Lysaker, with flexibility for working from home.

Are you our new integration architect?

NG Nordic is looking for an Integration Architect who can take ownership of a modern integration platform and help us connect systems, data and business processes across a growing organization.

You will work closely with the development team and take a leading role in designing robust integrations that are understandable, maintainable and scalable. The platform is built with modern technologies including .NET, Kubernetes, Azure, Docker and event-driven architecture.

We are looking for someone who is both technically strong and practically oriented. You should be able to understand a complex integration need, break it down, create a clear specification and guide developers toward a good solution.

Your key responsibilities:

• Take architectural ownership of NG Nordic’s integration platform.
• Design and specify enterprise integrations across internal and external systems.
• Translate complex business and system needs into clear technical specifications for developers.
• Contribute as an experienced developer and sparring partner for the team.
• Contribute to the continued development of a modern, event-driven architecture.
• Help strengthen the internal integration capability and support future team growth.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for an experienced technologist who understands enterprise integrations and enjoys working close to both architecture and delivery. You should have enough technical depth to earn the trust of strong developers, while also being able to communicate clearly with stakeholders outside the development team.

You are likely someone who has spent several years in software development, integration, solution architecture or technical leadership. You should be comfortable contributing to code, design discussions and technical problem-solving, while also being able to broaden your perspective and make good architectural decisions.

To succeed and thrive in this role, you should have:

• Solid experience from technology roles, preferably 7+ years or more.
• Strong understanding of enterprise integrations and integration architecture.
• Experience with .NET, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker and/or event-driven architecture.
• Ability to distinguish between concepts such as event bus and service bus, and apply them appropriately.
• Ability to create clear technical specifications from complex integration needs.
• Strong English skills; Norwegian or another Scandinavian language is highly beneficial for this role.
